About E-Square

CEO Message

President & CEO, E-Square Inc.Hiro Motoki

Message

E-Square has partnered with companies to address social and environmental issues with a long-term perspective, working together toward a more sustainable society. Since our founding, we have remained committed to uniting business growth with solutions to social challenges.
Topics such as climate change, biodiversity, human rights, DEI, and sustainability disclosure are now recognized as critical corporate priorities. But over two decades ago, when these ideas were still on the fringe, we took the initiative to question the status quo and began our journey toward a more sustainable society. That pioneering spirit continues to define E-Square today.
Our goal is to walk alongside our clients as a partner who transforms social challenges into opportunities for growth and innovation. We believe that real impact comes not from consulting alone, but from acting together to create change that resonates far beyond the organization.
Sustainability is not a passing trend—it is our responsibility to the future and the foundation of value creation. E-Square will continue to honor its founding spirit while opening new horizons through fresh perspectives. We are committed to exceeding our clients’ expectations and building a better society together.

Social and Environmental Contribution

Global Compact

E-Square signed on to the United Nations Global Compact in November 2011. As a signatory, we support the Ten Principles of the United Nations Global Compact in the areas of Human Rights, Labor, Environment, and Anti-Corruption.

Carbon Offset

Since 2003, E-Square has undertaken carbon offsetting for major CO₂ emissions from its business operations, including office electricity use and employee air travel.

※Because the office building collectively purchases electricity and the company cannot independently select a renewable energy plan, E-Square offsets the resulting CO₂ emissions through certified offset programs.
※ Carbon offsetting means compensating for unavoidable greenhouse gas emissions—after implementing energy-saving measures—by using emission credits generated by verified emission reduction projects conducted by others.

Performance
For the one-year period from July 2023 to June 2024, E-Square offset a total of 85 tons of CO₂ emissions generated from its business activities through the use of forest-related carbon credits.
Approximately 90% of total CO₂ emissions during this period resulted from business travel by air and other transportation.
